Macau recently held its first Education Expo at the Venetian Macao last week to enable current students to make an educational choice when  it came to their future education or for those that were required to move abroad for education means.

The Expo was brought to Macau by Key Media International, the same team that has six years of experience organising the Hong Kong Education Expo.

It was brought here in a bid to assemble teachers and education experts from a variety of quality institutes worldwide to provide local parents and students the most comprehensive overseas studies information.

Universities and education institutes from the Mainland, United Kingdom, United States, Germany, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Switzerland as well as Hong Kong and Taiwan sent representatives to answer queries.

Some of the participating institutes also conducted admission interviews on the spot for interested and eligible students.

Expectations weren’t particularly high for this Expo as it was only the first and many parents and students were used to attending the Hong Kong version, but organisers hope that creating a local version would make it simpler and more convenient in the future.

During the opening press conference, a group of about 50 students were already waiting to address relevant exhibitors which included City University Hong Kong, Les Roches International School of Hotel Management and British United Education Services.
